Thrilling adventures since 1986

Kongeparken is an amusement park in Ålgård, near Stavanger, Norway. Kongeparken is the biggest amusement park in the southwest of Norway and Rogaland's biggest tourist attraction. The park offers over 60 different rides and adventures for the entire family and has been awarded several times for good service and innovative attractions.

Kongeparken was opened by Gabriel Ålgård May 16, 1986, and was intended to be a park with outdoor activities such as BMX, roller-skating, arcades, golfing etc. In 1997 the park was bought by its current owners, the Lund-family, who has over a hundred years experience through Lunds Tivoli.

A theme of bears & unique experiences

The Lund-family gave Kongeparken the theme of bears. Kongeparken is the only amusement park in the world that holds the theme of bears. In 1997 the bears Brumle and Brumleline moved into the park. The King and the Queen of Bears lives in the castle of Kongeparken. In the castle you'll find one of the biggest rides in the park – a roller coaster with spinning gondolas.

The park has a BearBotel where your teddybear can check in for a spa treatment, while you enjoy the park.

in the heart of Gjesdal

Månafossen waterfall is with its 90 metres in free fall the tallest waterfall in the county of Rogaland. The hike starts at Eikeskog where the track is combined with stair climbing on the first part of the hike. You'll have some chains to hold on to on the steepest areas, however this is relatively easy. On the way, there are facilitated lookout points to see the falls.

If you bring along your fishing pole, there are good chances of catching a mountain trout or two.
